Holyhead Trojans v Prestatyn Piranhas:
The opening games against Prestatyn Piranhas was a close affair, but would set the scene for the rest of the play-offs, which were the most open and closely fought of all the previous years play-offs. The game was very competitive with both sides taking the lead at some point. Bradley Knight had got all four goals as they were leading 4-3 with about 1 minute left, however, the Piranhas then equalised as the Trojans were found guilty of puck-watching. Result 4-4.
Holyhead Trojans v Glaslyn Pirates:
The Porthmadog team took an early lead as again the Trojans got off to a slow start. Aron Owen then benefited as he scored from two passes and got two solo goals to give the Trojans a narrow 4-3 win in a tightly contested match.
Holyhead Trojans V Llandudno Vikings:
The Vikings needed a win to secure the play-offs title, but the Trojans only needed a draw.
Indeed the Llandudno team showed they're intent by taking an early 1-0 lead, before Aron hit back by placing the puck above the netminders left shoulder to level the score. Again the Vikings took another lead leaving the Trojans supporters on tenterhooks. The play continued with Holyhead seemingly unable to get a break the deadlock and equalise despite frantic efforts to score. With only a minute left, Aron's clearance out of defence found Simon Lukehurst who passed the puck onto Bradley, who, having gone around their defender, thudded the puck into the underside of their netminder where it bobbled underneath him and just crossed over the line causing the Trojan supporters to celebrate wildly. However, only one of the referees gave a goal and the other ref went over to check. Their hearts were in their mouths as the Holyhead supporters started to realise that the goal might not be given, therefore it came as much relief when eventually the goal was given, leaving little time for the Vikings to respond. The match was drawn 2-2 and therefore the Holyhead Trojans won the North Wales Play-Offs for the second year in a row, and their fourth time overall.
Summary:
This was great team performance with Holyhead Trojans winning the play-offs in the most open and closely fought of all the previous years play-offs. As well as the great performances up front by Bradley, Aron and Hayden Owen, they were supported by a great defence consisting of Daniel Owen, Jake Roberts, Robert Owen and Simon Lukehurst, who was playing up from the 14&U team.
Netminders Huw Ellis-Jones and Laura Evans made many great saves and ensured there were no easy goals for the opposition.

Holyhead Trojans V St Asaph Shadows:
The Trojans lost the first game against St Asaph Shadows 4-1, with James Evans getting their only goal.
Holyhead Trojans V Prestatyn Piranhas:
The Trojans had lost heavily to the Piranhas in the two league games they had played them during the season. It was therefore a good result to have only lost 2-0 in this match.
Holyhead Trojans V Predators:
Again the Trojans were up against another good team in the Predators. Dale Stalman got their only goal as they lost 4-1.
Summary:
Although they lost their three games, they were never overrun or outclassed, and gave three performance that they could be proud of.
Netminder Kyle Thorney-Potter, impressed so much, he received the 11&U age-group netminder of the tournament trophy.
