|
Holyhead Trojans v Glaslyn Pirates:
Holyhead Trojans started a little slowly with Glaslyn Pirates taking an early lead. The game stayed at 1-0 to Pirates into the 2nd period before Aron Owen levelled and Bradley Knight made the game safe with two goals to give Holyhead a 3-1 win
Holyhead Trojans v St Asaph Shadows:
The Shadows were one of the danger teams having troubled Holyhead in the season and having the pedigree of having won the play-offs for the last two seasons.
Holyhead seemed untroubled by this and soon opened up a 3-0 lead with goals from Bradley, Aron & Jamie Lewis. St Asaph hit back to make the score 3-2, before Bradley sealed things by closing the game 4-2.
Holyhead Trojans V Llandudno Vikings:
With the Vikings have drawn their two matches, they needed to beat the Trojans by 5 clear goals, to win the play-offs.
Holyhead were having none of this as they barely gave a shot away and had a total shut-out of Llandudno as they thrashed them 4-0.
Summary:
As well as the great performances up front by Bradley and Aron, they were also supported up front by Haydon Owen and Lewis Darroch.
A rock solid defence consisting of Steven Lukehurst, Jamie Lewis, Andrew Birch and Hannah Lewis, never gave an inch.
If the opposing team did get any shots they then had to beat the superb netminding skills of Huw Ellis-Jones and Laura Evans.

Holyhead Trojans V Glaslyn Pirates:
The Trojans lost the first game against Glaslyn Pirates 4-0, who the Trojans had finished runners-up to in their league.
Holyhead Trojans V Prestatyn Piranhas:
The Trojans had lost heavily to the Piranhas in two friendly games played during the season and so were expecting much of the same. It came as surprise therefore when Mark Parry broke clear and gave the Trojans a 1-0 lead.
Prestatyn attacked and attacked but couldn't get an equaliser due to great defence from Jake Roberts, Daniel Owen and Matthew Birch.
However, eventually the pressure took it's toll and the Piranhas eventually levelled which is where the score ended 1-1.
Holyhead Trojans V Team Predators:
The Predators had won their Eastern 14&U league convincingly and were a class above the rest. It was little surprise then that Holyhead succumbed 8-1 to the Predators, with Jake Roberts getting the Trojan's only goal.
