31 January 2004
At Penygroes Leisure Centre
Junior [U14] Team Game
The first match between these two teams earlier in the season saw the Trojans win easily 15 - 1.
Holyhead opened with a no-nonsense mood to take a 4 - 0 lead in the first quarter, with Andrew Birch blasting in three goals, and Haydon Owen, who having gone past two defenders, unselfishly passed to an unmarked Darren Butler who then scored.
The visitors then added three more goals in the 2nd period which were all assisted through good passing moves, with one started by Dafydd Williams who passed to Haydon who then laid onto Darren to get his 2nd goal.
The home side then began to tighten up and restricted the Trojans to just 2 goals, with Steven Lukehurst scoring from a blocked Hanna Lewis shot and Daniel Owen getting an easy one in front of an open goal-mouth.
The last quarter saw the home side get their only goal before the visitors sealed the victory with two more goals coming with Daniel getting his 2nd and Darren his 4th.

Youth [U18] Team Game
The Trojans had beaten the Dreigiaur Dyffryn 8 - 1 at Holyhead earlier in season.
The opening quarter was scoreless with most of the pressure and scoring opportunities coming from the visitors.
The Trojans then opened their account in the 2nd period with Adam Knight shooting from an impossibly acute angle, but the puck deflected and just crept over the line off of the keeper.
The home side then hit back to equalise, before Andrew Birch blasted in with a powerful shot from the half-way line and Neil Craven also scored after picking up the puck from some loose defending in front of goal.
The 3rd quarter saw both teams having scoring opportunities, but only Dreigiaur were able to convert one of these into a goal to make the score 3 - 2 to the Trojans going into the final period.
The last period was again a tight affair, but Jamie Lewis was able to seal the victory after receiving a pass from Neil and scored a well placed wrist shot from the half way line.
The final score was 4 - 2 to Holyhead Trojans.
Scorers were Adam Knight - 1, Neil Craven - 1, Andrew Birch - 1 & Jamie Lewis - 1

Llandudno Vikings V Holyhead Trojans
18 January 2004
At Llandrillo College
Peewee [U11] Team Game
The first quarter was close and competitive with the Vikings just taking a 1 goal lead.
Mark Parry got an equaliser when he stole the puck in midfield and feinted a shot to commit the keeper before slotting home a goal. The home side then responded by adding another five to lead 6 - 1 at the half way mark.
The home side again added five, without reply from the visitors, although they went close to scoring a few times.
The last period saw Llandudno add to their goal tally by ending the game 14 - 1 winners.
Scorers were Mark Parry (1)
Most Valuable Player: Mark Parry, scored only goal but was always working hard and helping out in defence.
Junior [U14] Team Game
The Vikings had beaten the Trojans 15- 2 at Holyhead earlier in season, so the visitors were hoping for a more respectable display this time.
The 1st quarter was close and very competitive, with Llandudno shading it 2 - 0.
However, the Vikings then began to stamp their authority and led 6 - 0 at half time.
They then added another 4 in the 3rd period.
The last period saw a goal apiece with Andrew Birch getting a well placed wrist shot goal.
Scorers were Andrew Birch - 1
Most Valuable Player: Lewis Darroch, put a lot more effort in and worked hard through-out
Youth [U18] Team Game
The Vikings had beaten the Trojan Youth's earlier in season, but the Trojans later beat Conwy Rage, who had previously beaten Llandudno, so the "form book" was proving unreliable this season.
Holyhead were in no mood to lose again to Vikings and quickly showed their intentions by taking a 6 - 2 lead in the 1st quarter, with their 1st being scored in under 2 seconds when Aron Owen let rip a powerful slap-shot from the opening face-off.
The home side rallied in the 2nd period and restricted the visitors to just one more goal, but this session saw three players sin-binned with Holyhead down to 2 players at one time against four, but still Vikings did not score.
In the 3rd quarter there were 2 goals apiece to go into the last period 9 - 4 to Holyhead.
The Trojans then applied more pressure, with some good inter-passing between Ashley Knight and Aron, and took the score line to an emphatic 14 - 5 to make up for their earlier defeat.

Holyhead were only able to add two more to the score-line in the 3rd period as Glaslyn tightened things up.
The Trojans then laid siege to the Pirates goal and added seven more with goals from Haydon and one powerful shot from Andrew which was so fast their keeper didn't even see it.
